I do ride with a helmet. I notice that at highway speeds, there is a slight shake when the wind hits the very top of my helmet. Nothing like riding without one though. When I rode without a windshield my head looked like a bobble head because of fightin' the wind. My neck stays pretty relaxed now. I have no problem with the little bit of buffeting that I feel. Like I said, it feels more like a small shake, rather than my head getting blown all around.

Greetings from the Land of Sky Blue Waters,
Just new to the forum and Harley ownership after purchasing my 08 Softail Custom in September. Haven't had a lot of ride time yet but really looking forward to Spring. I've added a couple of extra chrome items so far and I'm really enjoying the Harley family experiance so far. My dealership and all the other Harley dealers I've visited so far have been fantastic. Really enjoying viewing the other owners pictures. Thanks.

Welcome to the family THBear! Congrats on the new bike! I really like those colors. My dad got a '08 Ultra in those colors. That blue really pops in the sun. Ride safe!

Welcome THbear! Both toys look awesome...I agree with you. The Harley Family is something else. I enjoy going back to the dealer to visit. My problem is they're too nice and I end up buying something every time I go in there. Am I Family or a sucker? Regardless, I'm having a blast.

Welcome aboard, your going to really like that Custom. Maybe more than that slick GTX behind it.

Nice car by the way. 440 six pack?

Thanks for the welcome guys,
The GTX behind my Softail is a 1971 440+6, 4 speed. One of 62 produced. I've had it 5 years now and did a total restoration a couple years ago. It's a two fender tag car originally from California and has some great options, air grabber, AM/FM stereo, cassette player, Dana rear axle, inside hood release, electric windows, rear window defogger, Go-Wing, and front spoiler. I think the original owner checked every box except the sunroof option. It's a blast to drive and I show it quite often when the weather permits.

Default 07 switch conectors under tank

Hows it all going.
Pulled my tank off today and the switch gear so can change all over to Chrome and Run wirs through the bars.

I have looked at the 07 Manual but still can't figure how to get the pins out of the new type of connectors.

I have tried pushing a long needle nose tweeser into the D holes but nothing seems to happen.[:@]

Any one had experience with removing the pins from these plugs.

Old connectors were easy but these seem a bit strange.

Regards Greg

Hey Guys, just found the site. I have a 2007 Custom in a color I have not seen on the first 6-7 pages of this post, Black Denim.

Like some of you guys I loved the black Harley thing, but I think this throws it over the top like an old-school chopper.

I look forward to reading more post, but I wanted to say Hi first.

Ps, I fit the locking HD bags and the skull gas cap/gauge when I purchased and have added some other skull items since.

Mike
