Gotta say....... visiting the Softail page is breaking my heart. Rode a 92 Custom for years, put a ton into it, looked f'n fantastic. Riding an SG now, love it but should of kept the Custom too...... no real reason to sell it. Had the heritage, a goldwing and my ol 78 Kaw LTD 1000......... now just the SG, feeling a little like the garage is empty these days............ you folks take care, I'll drop in everyso often to see your rides, and cry in my beer about selling mine and enjoying all your rides. IMHO the Custom is the nicest of all HDs............ well, it's after 12 now, guess I'll go have one.

Very nice bike. great colour, not sure about the engine guard though. I intend to sort out my 08 purchase in January - can't wait - and keep checking here for ideas/colur/bling etc.
ORIGINAL: BranShdUSA

Here's my new 2008 Custom. Its got vance and hines bigshots staggered, SE race tuner, and SE STG1 intake. I pulled all the reflectors and want to get a solo or gunfighter style seat next. I can't wait to get rid of the engine guard but got it on for now...just in case.

Thank you JF, I went to the Windvest website and read that statement. What I really want to know is how will it look on my bike and if the people that are using them have any comments about the 14"/16" models. The pictures of Rich C's Windvest look great. I only want to buy one and I am really leaning towards the 14" model.
I am getting my 08 custom in July and I just keep looking here for great ideas.

Joe Mark,
Welcome to the Custom world, or maybe I should say welcome back?
Not sure but who cares, we feel the same way about our Customs that you do, and we're easy to get along with. Feel free to chime in anytime. Its entirely possible that having owned one in the pastyou might know a trick or two we haven't figuredout yet.

This one's mine. I call her Cloud Nine. Dropped the seat off at a saddle shop to be re-worked in leather to match my saddlebags before I left to come overseas again. Gonna get rid of the Bikers Friend too, have a custom made backrest coming for it soon. I'll post more pics when everything is finished.

mike1213 - I think you should follow jf's advice, but it's your call. I am 5'10 and the wind brushes the top of my helmet.

I thought I was subscribed to the Softail Custom Pictures - didn't mean to ignore anyone

Hi all,

Well finally after 3 long months the beast has landed here in Oz. Picked it up last Thursday night and took it for it's maiden voyage on Sunday. You can probably see the grin over there in the USA. Had a few mods included:
- 103 kit (screaming eagle A/C, 211 cams & SERT)
- V&H BSS exhaust (stock baffles) LOUD
- HS leather brawler solo seat
- HD street slammer bars
- Tri Bar LED taillight
- a few pieces of bling

Can't wait for the weekend!
Daz

HDaz,
Looks nice that way, like a Nightrain on bling steroids.
Welcome to the "family". Good luck and ride safe.
