Hey paulca...

I love the front wheel. Is that the Harley Davidson wheel listed for $570?? It looks like the one I am wanting for mine but have yet to see it installed and it looks great if thats it.

Also it's a 21" X 2 1/2" right?? Stock tire should fit if I'm correct??

Thanks

I picked up my fxstc Friday. It has V&H- BSS, SE backing plate K&N filter and PC 3. Have only put a little over 500 miles on so far but I am very impressed so far. Handling is excellent and power is better than I had expected. This is my first Harley and now I am wondering why I waited so long.

Is that the Jake/Elwood Blue? Your's would be the only other FXSTC I have seen in that color. They went to Ohio (I live in Nashville) to get me that color combination.

Yes it is Jake & Elwood blue. My dealer had two of them plus a vivid black and a pewter and black. It was hard to pick but the Jake and Elwood just seemed like there would not be as many like it out there.

What gorgeous bikes! Man, I've been going back and forth between lusting after a Softail Custom, or a Wide Glide for months. I'm overseas right now, but will be ordering my '08 around July/August. The two bikes are so close in concept, but different in execution that it is killing me. I have been leaning toward the WG because of its longer wheelbase andhigher seat, but you just can't argue with the timeless class of the softail frame. Help me out guys: First off, if any of you are over six foot, what kind of things have you done to your custom to make it a nice, stretched out ride and, second, what made you choose this model over another.

Thanks,

John

Love my custom. The snow is back on the ground up here, so no riding for a while. Only about 60 miles on the bike. I was looking at the wide glide before they started making the custom again. I am only 5'9" so the custom fits me a little better. 1" sounds like a lot, but did not seem to make much difference. I like the look of the hard tail chopper but have the ride of the softail. If I would have bought the wide glide, I would have put on the chrome covered rear shocks and have been very happy. But with the custom, you can see more of the back tire (I like the rear fender). There was some little things I liked about the custom; the deep seat, solid back wheel, low pips, ... It just called spoke to me. So I brought it home and then told the wife. ;}
