RE: Softail Custom Pictures
So what was the price difference between the HD versus Kuryakyn front fork brace??? And do you know the part number of the HD brace that looks like the one you have??? I like the look of that and it does seem practical to put a little extra meat between the forks. I like the WG front with the wider diameter forks actually. And I did not know that the LED tail light did not need a load equalizer....guess it draws a bit more than the LED signals...thanks for that info....!

Azmcdude,
I was mistaken, the Kuryakyn is actually $.04 more at $129.99 than the HD version (PN=46097-98). Who'd a thunk that would happen? But I got mine off evil-bay for under $100 delivered.
Paulca,
I think the tool roll is from Hot Leathers, but I wasn’t paying attention when I got either one. I was just looking for something to stash stuff in on day trips that was better than the nylon fanny pack I had used on my old bike’s sissy bar.
I actually tried it, only once. It was on the bike when I went on the Patriots day ride with 500 other bikes last Sept. Only problem was we were going down a lot of back roads that farmers used on tractors. It was raining nearly all day and the mud from the tractor tires, rain and road spray covered every ones bike in fine grinding compound. The nylon bag and the vibration nearly ground off the finish on the top of the fender.
Now you know one reason I keep the rack on and why I got the leather bar. It doesn’t “wilt” when it gets wet. Especially since I about soaked both of them in mink oil to water proof them.

Hey all.
Getting ready to leave for Daytona on Friday.I'm going down to Miami first with a friend to pick up his custom chopper. We'll spend a couple of days in Miami getting his chopper finished up and then it's on up to DaytonaBike Weekfrom the 7th thru the 11th. Should be interesting as this will be my first Bike Week... Only been waiting 30+ years now!!
Anyway, I'll bring back a bunch of pics.
