Ah! Jesus would weep if he saw this machine - overcome by how it looks!! you've done a beautiful job on it! I love it! Did you tape up the covers and other bits to blacken the motor? If so how did you do it and what did you use? And s the round air cleaner the original and would it fit a 2010 Standard?

 

The round air cleaner is pretty much a standard. That one was a Mikuni knock off. It happens to be covering a Mikuni HS42 carburetor in that photo. It should fit any round style air cleaner backing plate that is close to OEM size regardless of the type of carb used. There are a couple threads in HD forums where this is discussed. The last one I read was a fellow who installed a S & S "Stealth" air cleaner assembly, and the OEM round air cleaner cover. I think he had an S & S carb too, but that shouldn't matter too much. Just get the correct air cleaner kit for your bike from S & S. I have dealt with S & S customer service. They are very friendly and helpful. I'm sure they can get you set up!
