Hi Hooked. Yes sold the springer. The 16 inch apes were giving me back problems and someone offered me $6000 more for it than I paid new price so she went. Really miss that bike. Bought new ultra kept it 4 months, sold it and now have the custom

Hooked from the springer&nbsp\\;my legs seem to be more stretched out with the custom but I did have the 16 apes on the springer. Go with the custom and do it up. When I went riding with my mates we had 3 springers and one night train and they really turned heads.

I just picked up a 09 vivid black softail custom on 8-1-08. 5 miles then 156 now. The bike is already family.

No pics yet but I will work on it later.

1st mods I was thinking is v/h big radius, thundermax w/ auto tuner, and heavy breather a/c.

Man my head swells with all the options so I would like to hear from everyone with experience with the above listed parts and how well they work together.

I am a gear head so I am looking to get performance but not so much as to loose any reliability.

That's the best color they painted a late model Softail Custom. If they offered that color in '07 I would have been all over it. Look great! congrats.

Softail07 congrats on your bike looks great. Always liked black on the custom and of course I love your apes.
Crazy Biker thanks mate yeah i love the colour and grabbed one of the last ones out here that was available in my area.
Echos67 look forward to seeing photos of your bike and really interested in the performance upgrades you do and what parts you install and the performance you get.

hogdiver96 – I bought the small Red (Back) and Amber (front) lights from Heartlands. I didn’t wanted to open more holes to the fender so I got a couple of steel plates ˝ inch wide and mounted them to the middle screw that holds the fender to the struts and then cut the plates to the proper length, paint them black and mount the lights to them .
Regarding the license plate holder, I got the Curved side mount license holder without taillight from J&P Cycles the part # is 340-372
How difficult it was.. Well I have a friend that did the 200mm and say it was very easy.. I did the 250mm and it was not that easy. There was a lot of modification that needed to be done for all to fit. Not only that I have to work on the Primary which it was a pain. Oh… and you have to have the right tools. During that time Sears became my best fried

Here is a pic of the Light mount.. http://www.arsic.com/hd-pics/img_1166.jpg
