G'day guys. Some great bikes and tips in this thread.
Back in February I traded in my old 98 Superglide on a 08 FXSTC. Here's a fewpics.
Mods so far: S&S mufflers, K&N air filter, SERT, Kuryakyn grips & pegs, front blinker relocation, Tri Bar LED and other chrome bits and pieces. Love that Tri Bar LED. I just whacked on some 4" risers to try out and one day I'll move the forward controls more forward (I'm 6' 4"). Only cabling issue with the risers was the front brake line, just had to release it from the lower triple tree.

Sounder,Bike looks great! If you get a chance, can you post a picture of the front of you bike? I would like to see what the 4" risers and the relocated blinkers look like from the front. Thanks

This pic shows the front blinkers relocated and the original risers. I reckon I should have went for the other type of bracket... the one that attaches behind the lower triple tree. Looks neater.

RE: Softail Custom Pictures
Is there a difference between softail standard and softail custom? Obviously you can tell I'm new to HD motorcycles and this forum. Anyways I posted this accidentally under the standard section and wanted to post it againto this thread since I've spent the better part of 3 days reading all the postings...
Here are some pic'sof my 08 Softail Custom. I have inverted the forks added HD forward controls, flush mounted gas cap and gauge, 2 into 1 pythons, screaming eagle heavy breather, low rear suspension and new front rim. Back rim, pulley and rotors to match arecurrently being made. Should have them in a couple of weeks. Also purchased a front spoiler and will add pics after I install it.
I think the inverted forks look awesome butthe only drawback is thatHD makes only one windshield that fits these forks and to me it doesn't look right.

There is no real mechanical difference's between a Standard and a Custom. Where they differ in in the trim, finish, and accessories. The Custom has more chrome, black and polishedengine and tranny with chrome parts, fancier wheels, plus the better seat with asissybar.
But like I said under the skin and trim they are exactly the same.
Good luck with your new Custom, and let the modding begin.
