Funny you mention about the lowering kit as i was considering it, but i would really like to see it on another bike first, has anyone on this forum had it done?

Well that will give me something else to do this weekend. To bad everything else I need to do (honey do stuff) isn't as much fun. But I promise to do my best to get-r-done by Sunday night.

To answer your question, as stylish and tempting as it may appear, I reserve wearing themilitary bucket for those special "going out" occasions toforeign lands, LOL.

Here's a thought for you,as good as that Kevlar pot may be forkeeping little bits of high speed metal from parting your hair.
The odds are that it doesn't qualify asa legal DOT helmet.

Hi everyone,
Even though it's 12 degrees out now, the itch to ride is getting too great. First day over 35 I will be out there (if most of the salt is off the road). I have a couple of questions:
1. Does anyone have a picture of a 2007-2008 Custom with V&H short shots installed?
2. If anyone does, how is the sound? I currently have Rush slip ons 1.75" baffles which is ok, but really like the looks of the short shots, but have not seen how they look on the newer Customs.

Another note, group is looking for members, please check it out:

Dang I suck, because I have pics of my bike, but the wife had not downloaded them from the camera yet for me. Then I have to figure out how to post them. I copied a thread today from the forum about how to do the pic thing. I have the shortshot staggered on mine, with HD fatboy bags and a quick detach HD windshield mounted too. The sound is like any drag pipes you've heard but might be a bit louder though. Very crackly and the more you pour it on the louder they sound. I would'nt have it any other way. They hear me coming- they hear me going.

Wolfen-

Dan,
I love everything you've done with her so far. Just needs bigger apes, 16's maybe. I like the fact that you got the two fenders painted as stock. Looks hot! I'm glad to see someone put something other than Big Radius pipes on their custom too. The short shots look great.
