Hi BlackDragon,
Have to say i do like that red your bike is painted in! sorta wished i had chosen that colour now,
Word of warning for everyone with the "Retro" seat. be very careful not to overtighten those acorn nuts otherwise you will be taking your bikes back to the dealer to get them to hack the seat off the bike (like i did) but Harley did replace the seat under the warranty.

Thanks for the warning, hogdiver. I hope I don't have to go through that.

Test, test... is this thing on? I've been hanging around for some time now, gatheringintel for "things to do" to my bike. First time HD owner; 2007 Softail Custom purchased on Veteran's Day '07, installed Heartland 250 kit w/ front fender, turn and mirror LED signals, andV&H Short Shots Staggard w/SE Stage 1 upgrade. Looking forward to more "upgrades" when the time is right; just right now, my financial blanket is pulled up as high as I can bear without being "Dutch-ovened".

Does it mount to the swingarm?

Flew to Vegas this week and rented a Street glide. This is one of the bikes I was concidering when I got the custom. Sure glad I went with the custom. My wife was complaining about the seat, the lunch boxes on each side of the bike and her foot position within the first fify miles. The radio and cruise were nice. When up to Valley of Fire. What a nice ride. Then I had to come home to -11 and snow. Just does not feel right. Think I will go home and give my bike a hug.

Man, I love this forum.

The Street Glide is that one bike I thought about too and was not able to ride ahead of time.

The rubbered engine and no back rest were two of my concerns but I am glad to hear the rest.

I know I love my custom.

I would also like to thank Live2Ride for a great deal on his old windshield.

It looks awesome, even though I only plan on using it part-time (that part time may be spring and fall).

He did exactly what he said and it was exactlyin the conditionhe said!

Mike

Ps I will take and post a newer picture once the snow goes away.....[:'(]
