Is there a change in the service manual, or service bulletin?

Anyone have a close up pic of the stock upper triple tree?
Did you set your fallaway? Snug it up if it's moving it's not right.

Opps...

Welcome to the thread MAC

I also like the pinstriping Thunder... I'm waiting for my Biltwell Hellmet to get pinstriped and if it comes out cool I was thinking about something subtile on my bike also?

Saint... Nice! Pipes came out awesome.

See post #2 here. I have mine set to 70 ft-lbs and no problems.

Ah ok my service manual must be wrong then. I will try that.

Question is the gear looking adjusting nut suppose to be thick side down or up? (The nut under the upper triple clamp that you adjust with.)

Ok G thanks I will try it. What about that adjusting nut gear thing?
The damn lock washer has a little tab that goes in the 6 o'clock position on the triple and it keeps bending out of the hole.

there is gonna be a gap there... I can't remember but I think the longer side goes down??? Sorry I'm getting old... And yes when you start tightening up that washer does that? After it's set use an "all" ice pick or a small punch and punch it in to the hole so it don't move and you'll be good. F*** the tab it a pain the washer is thin so you can knock a section in the hole just to be safe.
