Awesome, thanks for the input BB06FLHX. That's what I needed to know. I'm really amazed at how much info is available through these forums. There is so much I plan to do to my ride. New saddle, new tins, air ride, and maybe a springer and some apes. It's so much fun digging around the pictures for inspiration. The hard part is convincing myself to take my time, and convincing my wife to let me spend the dough.

On another thought, I'm thinking about getting a clamp on windshield for long highway rides. I noticed that HD makes a blacked out one for the fatboy lo, but I can't seem to find one that's blacked out and will fit the Night Train. They have black braces, but chrome clamps. I want a clamp on one that doesn't leave behind any hardware. Anybody ever seen one?

I have one that doesn't leave any hardware just clamps to the tubes. I got it the year before they released the blacked out one but I barley use it so I didn't bother swapping it for a blacked out one.

Imma get with bncr18 and see what he recommends...if memory serves me, he did the swap a while back.

@mark: do you think my idle is too fast for the flappers to bounce at idle??

I don't know? We might have to put some extra holes on the bottom of your pipes... lol I'd still do it though... Got to find out some how? Still gonna look cool as hell

Scored two lengths of mandrel bent 2.5" pipe with about a 100-110 degree angle...almost points straight up....got raped on the price from Exhaust Systems Hawaii but oh well. Looking for input as how to mount them coming off my short shots...? Both straight up? Kicked out to the side a little? 90* out to the side?? LOL. If I cut the top one shorter so it's inside the bend of the bottom one, the mounting direction possibilities are endless. Otherwise the bottom pipe can only rotate up until it touches the top pipe...about a 45-55 degree angle...
