They pretty much set the bar much higher than most MC tires are prepared to go. Metzelers are almost as good.

The stock 200/55/17 is far better than the stock (whatever they are) Dunlop's on the narrow tire HD's. They just wear out way too fast and compared to the CT I'm running now; they are second rate.

Just trying to put it in perspective.

What size are you running OK?
I have a 200/55/17 in the rear. Avon Cobra in the rear and an Avon Venom on the front.

I haven't ridden on those but I've read they handle very well but wear out quickly as a result.

As long as you're happy with them.

Out here in July and August when it gets up to 120 degrees in the summer the road and tires get very hot and soft so the tire wear out double quick. Anything we can do to improve on that is a blessing.

That is a pretty good looking tire at the bottom by your sig. I assume that is the one you are speaking of...

Do motorcycle shops mount those or do you do it yourself?

.

What up nighttrainers! Just got back from a killer 5 day road trip. Speaking of tires,I'm due for a new one. Kinda spooky the last two hundred miles watching her fall apart. Bike looks sick Phrog!

Yes. I mount 'em myself and use Dyna Beads for balancing.

You might not want to get in the burn out contest that far from home.
