I thought I'd be using the 3" extensions I had when I bought some 2" extended forward controls. When I installed the controls without the extensions, they were just right. I found out the manufacturer also lowers the peg height and inch and that made them perfect. 5" seems like it would put the controls right up by the front tire.

 

TX I actually sat on a guys bike that had 6'' forward controls, it was nuts but looked good and it was a train. I am almost 6'4. and It is all in my legs. I need more. I am obviously gonna sit down with the machine shop and do this right with a custom fit with the new foward controls. I know Rthomp has the same ones and they moved him out more so weill see. I might slap them on first to give it a wirl.
