05,

Shoot some close up pics of the fit of your current setup. As it stands now I don't think a beefier tire will fit. JMHO...

Im gonna be taking the triple trees off tonight. Do the bearing and stem stay inside the frame or is it part of the triple trees bracket ? Any other tips on what to expect. Thanks guys !!

the stem stays on it and dont take it off it has to be taped off in the pwder coating too..............its put on with heat and pressed in so DONT take the stem off........

and you will find out about the bearings when you pull the lower tree and stem off...

+1 on the stem it stays on the lower trip... that bearing will need to be removed... either cut off or take it to a shop... You should change both bearings since they are out... you'll need some big sockets and a torque wrench... a pair of seals for under the tube caps and one of those washers "locking type" that you bend the tab down when you put the trips back on...lol and you will need to check your fall out of your frontend.

You doing anything with your rear fender when you swap it out?

Default Tire/rim size

Don't know if this will help, 120/70 21 on the left, stock 90 -21 on right looks like maybe a 1/4 inch difference I used my 90 to mock the fender up, and the 120 fit fine after the paint dried! just the wrong offset aarrgh!

I used a 1/2 inch hose taped to the tire, you can see a small space in the fender to tire clearence, but it's much tighter with the 120
