Yeah vw is taking some time but I've got the bikes where I want them and see doing nothing but riding them. Maybe some changes on the Sportster later this year.Been toying with idea of hardtail but really like the way it rides as is. Thinking about using a custom Softail oil bag and dropping the seat 2" or so and throwing the springer on it.
Bug will only take less than 60/70 hours to put back together. It's at paint shop now. Seats are done, motor is done so it's only a matter of assembly. They are pretty simple.
A little color might be a change for you.Never considered taking the Black Cherry off mine.

I been wanting to buy a sportster for the misses. Secretly because I've always wanted to mess with one. Do you find them easy to throw around? Springer on a sporty would be cool

Yep I think I'm going to add some colour to the new tins, though I think I'm going to keep a good mixture of black in there. A nice racey theme, Sean as the new look will have a bit of a race look about it

Thought about raking the neck a little, or adding an inch or two of backbone and upward stretch with the stock rake, will have to dummy it all up with the springer and check the trail

INK I like the race paint scheme idea. I had a black Ninja 900R that I had the front fender, front cowl, side and helmets air brushed as if I blew thru a checked flag and it was tearing away to pieces. I'll have to see if I still have any pics of that bike. 500lbs, about 150HP and nimble in and out of any corner. Everything about that thing was ridiculous.......ahhhh the good ole days

Stopped at the painters to check on the fender.... In primer awaiting wet sanding and paint. He originally said by the end of last week now early next week. I can wait, sounds like he's planning on making sure it turns out well.

I need some help guys. I have a 23" front tire and have been riding it with no fender for awhile now. Anyone know of a good wrapper style fender that will bolt right on? I don't like the arlen ness one because it doesn't go down to the ground far enough. I like the rc components fender but they don't make 1 for the fxst. Will a fender that's made for a different model fit up to the legs on the softail?
