Got my lowers in yesterday so I'm going to put my front end back together tonight. I bought the progressive monotube lowering kit but don't know whether to drop it 1" or 2" and can't get answers from anyone who's used them on a train. Any of you have any suggestions? Right now I'm leaning towards 1" because I'm afraid that 2" will be far too unforgiving in the bump but I'm just assuming.

I have drop ins sitting there yet to go in. I'm unsure how short do I make the spacer to get two inches? It doesn't specify at what length it will make it 2". It tells me to cut it to 4.5" and no shorter then 4" and no taller the 5.5". So if I cut the spacer to 4", does that give me a 2" drop?

Yeah Ink, cut it to the 4" minimum and that should give you the 2" of drop.

As far as the guys running the monotubes, I have no clue about those

Shotgun wasn't too bad to install, get a small torch to heat up the rear bolts so you can break them free. That was the biggest pain in the butt to me, also fought me on lining all the holes up and getting everything threaded. If everything goes smooth it will take you about 2 hours to do. If it gives you hell plan for 4 hours lol.

I pulled my horn off and mounted the switches up under the gas tanks edge. Easy access and fairly concealed. You're gonna absolutely love those shotguns!

Thanks for clearing that up Cyg!

Man I was going to order me a HHI triple tree and RC black billet wheel today but. Turns out with internal stops the trees would cost $1000 AUS...****
And the RC components wheel only 3 shops in all of Australia sell this brand and none keep any in stock, so looks like $1700-$1800 AUS for one front wheel with no tyre. What a killer

Took her for a spin today, a but of rain about, nothing quite like heavy rain to the bare face at 100 clicks

Hoping bars and shotguns turn up next week before I head back to work....my hopes of HHI triple trees and wider billet black front wheel have been shot down for now...I need to stop looking at all you guys bikes with fat front wheels

Holy crap Ink, how much paper you got left on that money tree! You're on a spending spree haha. Since you can't get the wheel, to hold you over and satisfy your need for change, get some Testors model paint and a small brush and paint your fender strut bolts. It'll hide them pretty good. Clean them and do a few light coats so it dries even. It holds up really well.
