Night Train Pictures
It's scarce all over Lund, the frenzy won't be over for a while so I was glad to stock up back in summer when I was shooting the AR a lot. The thing that sucks is that now it's hard to find the hunting rounds that i shoot through my bolt action 223 for coyote and fox hunting. People are buying everything they can
Prob won't be makin it down to bike week Jim. Really don't have the money to fund a trip like that. Got a few much needed things I gotta do on the house this spring
However of you have room in the trailer I'll ride along to help with fuel cost! I got a college buddy that lives 20 minutes from Daytona, he doesn't ride though

Anyone from the NorthEast ever trailer down to Daytona Bike Week? The way my work schedule is going if I ride all the way down I wont have as many days to hang in Daytona. Unless I ride 95 all the way w/ no back roads, and thats just no fun. Just wondering if the rally is even worth it? Can you find lots of used parts or is it all new stuff for sale at vendors? Do you guys rent a uhaul or whatever? Just looking for tips for someone thats never been.
Granted, it was back in the 80s, but when I lived in western Mass, Amtrak had a deal for Daytona bike week. They had converted car carriers with tie downs, etc. You were responsible for securing your bike, then you would ride in the passenger train to Washington and ride your own bike the rest of the way. I think you could even take the train further south if you wanted (at additional cost of course). I don't know if the program still exists, but it might be worth checking into.
I use to live in FL and rode to Daytona every year. Its a good time but I don't think its "amazing". I mainly went for the ride with the fellas but any time you get that many bikers in one area your bound to have fun. Daytona basically has 1 strip with all the bars/vendors. Its packed. People usually just line the streets while bikes ride back and forth, nothing super exciting. You'll need to venture out past the strip to find good spots/bars but they're there.
If your set on Daytona I recommend you waiting until October. Its still a lil chilly during this time in FL. I think Daytona Biketoberfest is way better and girls have less clothes on!
As far as vendors, its usually just clothes and minor accessories, nothing major. However, the Harley shop there is massive and always has a good display (& i'm normally against the factory shops so this says a lot).
If you do go, I recommend reserving a bottom floor hotel room and bringing your bike in the room with you. a ton of bikes are always getting stolen at Daytona.
