Wassup!!!! Have not been on here all summer.... No rain until recently and gorgeous weather = alot of boat time and 5,000 miles on the train. Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Does anyone have an "in" with someone who might know alittle about the new Harley wheels?

I bought the Magnum 5 spoke cut black wheel for the front of the train this spring and now am looking to change the rear rim with the tire change out. Problem is the rear is only listed for 08' and later FXSTB?? Harley # is 40900061 and it shows a bearing kit for 00'-07' softails # 43854-08A. Dealer here is short on any usable knowledge and if I purchase it and cant make it work there is no return on it..I do know that in 08' they went to a 25mm axle, wondering if i could just order the axle and the 25mm axle bearing kit to make it work?? Any info or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
Joe

Yo trainginas, stoppin in to check progress, pretty quiet in here. Lost my compensating nut again, main shaft seal is leaking....fuhhkkkk, gotta split the cases for that one.
Pudge, check out you local bearing supply joint, you might be able to press out the 25mm & press in a 3/4" job, just a thought.

Here ya go mid, a couple from before the PC. I drilled the hole, then reamed it vertically with the drill bit and a skinny grinding bit on the dremel to ease the entry points so the line isn't rubbing on any sharp edges. A small round file is helpful to smooth any remaining rough spots.

So i found out yesterday internally wiring RSD king apes is really fun! Hey scheers did you cut the ends off your bars or was it done already for ya? I noticed they seem to be a little long.

Thnx bro. Did you buy the bars raw or did you do some other modifying to them?

GH I kept em as they came for two reasons. One the internal hole for wiring lines up better and liked wider stance
