What's up? Haven't been on much because I was busy with work, Daytona Bike week, and then more work! Just when I thought things were about to get better, a friend of mine passed away Tuesday, a fellow Harley rider. He finally lost his battle with cancer...R.I.P Dan!!!

The funeral is this Saturday, in a few weeks following I'm going to share my idea of putting on a memorial ride, along with the support of our local cancer center, to the 2 sons(whom both ride and I work with) and his wife. With either the proceeds being donated to the family or donated to the cancer center in Dan's honor.

All I can say his cancer SUCKS!!!! I lost my dad when I was 16 to prostrate cancer and have lost other loved ones and friends to this horrible disease!!! We can send a man to the moon, send a freaking robot to mars that we can operate and see the surface with, we can fly, and do all these other awesome things, but we cannot find a cure for cancer!!! aaaaaahhhhh!!!!! Sorry to rant, it just really sucks!!

I will try later this week to post up some of the pics from Daytona, had a blast!!!! Got to meet up with Jim(Branner) and his father in law as well as Richard Fleites and his wife(from Facebook), all great people!!! Was supposed to meet up with Lee, but we kept playing hide and seek everywhere we went LOL

Will have to catch up on all the post later this weekend.....welcome to all the newbies

Glad you had a good time at Daytona.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. R.I.P. ~ Dan
On April 13th it will be the 10 year "anniversary" to losing one of my best friends to brain cancer at 27 years old - fkn sucks! But seeing him so strong and happy literally everyday through the entire 2.5 year battle right up until the day he passed made me change as a person and realize I can't be so self absorbed and that all my day to day bullshit I bitch about and "problems" I think I have are nothing in comparison. Condolences to all Dan's family and friends and may some good come out of this tragedy somehow.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, Bert! Dan is now in a better place without the pains he went thru while with us. You and his sons now have an angel looking over you while you ride..... Prayers out to his family and friends......

Funny you mention it, I just threw the plates on it today and got out for the 1st ride of the year - pretty sketchy corners in town cause we still have a **** ton of sand but the highways are bare so all good... plus I saw the 1st street sweeper out today so thats a good thing.

If I lived in GA or HI I would ride all year round - just not so lucky here.

Good thing I have other **** to keep me occupied in winter or I would go crazy lol. This was earlier in the week...
