I was a bit unsure about going this route myself, but it wasn't bad to do at all. I shaped the line to the contour of the bars first using a little heat and bending, then pulled it through. There's 25' of line in the box, so plenty of room for mess ups!
Now i’m interested. Can I get all this in my one inch bars without problems? Also now I have to figure this brake light thing out. I had an idea I had the idea I was gonna have to do that somehow but if the switch for it is in the part with the switches IDK

It should fit no problem. I'll do some digging on the brake light switch, and take a look at my old switch housing and see how that is all put together. I'll report back after work tomorrow!

I'm interested in finding out more about the lines also. I got a quote from a business at $300 for magnum black pearl brake, clutch and throttle cables. Seems really high after looking at magnum's website, from my thinking I could get all the cables for like 200 directly, unless I'm missing something...

Is it worth it or should I just get the basic lines?

Edited: I see that the throttle/idle cables come separate, so that would put my total around $270 going directly through Magnum

Yeah that's high Cyg. I paid $220.00 for my Magnum cables from Zanotti HD and they weren't the cheapest. I like Magnum cables but I don't know if it's worth the extra money. If I had to do it again, I might go with plain black and spend the difference on other parts.

Cyg just did a bike with the Sterling Magnum cables in extra lengths and they were like 270.00 direct from Magnum. My opinion is they are way better quality than the Harley and Barnett cables.Just Harley Diamond backs on my bike looked like **** after 30k and sheathing started splitting. The black Magnums are slick.
You confused me with that Abs,yeow

Yes, the stock brake switch is integral with the switch housing, so that option is out. If you end up running the stock MC, a banjo bolt switch is probably your best option. P/N 241-607 at JP Cycles. I'd put it on the MC so the wires can be run in the bars.

BUT, the stock MC looks kinda unfinished without the switch housing attached to it. There's a large stamp on the side that reads 9/16 (the bore size), and the exposed workings of the piston and such. It may take some creativity with the grinder, and some pc to get it looking right. I dug mine out of the parts bin and snapped a few pics.

and the brake light switch in the switch housing
