Stash as far as lowering the Progressive kits for front are bout the norm lol and then read you can go economy and get the $20 lowering bolts which workout just fine or go big time and get air ride. I had bolts for quite awhile with no issues but wife had back surgery so had to upgrade to air ride for better comfort when she rides and able to drop'er down when solo

Welcome Stash. Nice Train! That color always reminds me of Chazmanian and that puts a smile on my face. Boy you weren't kidding when you said that you had your bike in pieces. In the Softail forum there's a guy who sprayed his lowers with plastic dip. I think that I will try that if I ever repaint mine.

Welcome stash. That figure it part isn't even close to what it's gonna cost haha. You can figure 800 to over a grand with just what you have in the post depending what parts you get and from 20 to 1500 in the rear from bolts to air or some where in between depending on which air you get.I used to have an 05 that looked like yours. Man I miss the Chaz man and his wit.

I bought the 4.75 the first time and it looked horrible to me I never even drilled it, i sold it and got the 4.25 and it looks a thousand times better

Absolutely agree with that. My Klock Werks fender is 4.25" with a 90/90-21.

Welcome stash. I wrinkle black painted my lowers, not pc'd just paint, turned out great. Used a hair drier to wrinkle them up. I've since swapped front ends but, the wrinkled lowers live on. Buddies got them on his chopper. Although the plasti dup ones look good. Look around here I picked up a set of progressive rear shocks used from a member here for $100 bucks. All these old bastards are going to air ride so you can pick there old shocks up cheap. I'd do the front while your at it. Half way apart already.

Thanks guys... great to have such a warm welcome.

[B]Story[B].... i dont ever want to think about how much you've spent on your ride. I won't even try to keep up

Scheers... definitey some big spenders 'round here. seems like Story might be the biggest baller in the room lol. for lowering i will probably end up going the economical route right now, bolts for the rear and drop-ins for the front.

Ash thanks for the pointer on the plasti dip. I can do that now and see how I like it.... btw I love the clean simple look of your ride

Back Again thanks for the welcome

Lundee... awesome shovel head dude. looks killer.

http://www.softailloweringkit.com/ <---- anyone ever heard anything about this kit? I know its not really adjustable, but is cheap and easy for the time being

Thanks Stash. I looked into that lowering kit. It looks way easier than anything else. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it only lowers down 1.5" and I wouldn't do less than 2". This one from Burnout Cycles looks just as easy but is advertised to drop it 2.25" http://www.jpcycles.com/product/700-...1&zmap=700-210
