44 you watching Cupcake Wars now on HDTV? You gonna make it Saturday?
Ace is the place for chrome Pat.Usually about 50% cheaper than Harley.Glad I'm done spending money on these things. You guys should have bought BMX bikes if you wanted that look haha.Way cheaper.
(and don't make fun of my reflectors, I'm not taking anything off the bike that might make one of the crazy-a$$ taxi drivers here in Vegas actually see me)
Got rid of my reflectors when I bought the bike, but wanted at least a little visibility at night, so I picked up some black 1/8" 3M reflective tape. Ran it around the fork dust boots, on the downtubes, a strip up the swingarm, and around the bottom edge of the rear fender. Can't see it at all in the daylight, but take a picture with a flash or shine a light on it in the dark and it lights up brighter than any reflector I've seen. These are really old pics, and couldn't find any night pics, but the first is no flash, and second is with flash.
Hey G you have any problems with the chrome from Ace getting surface rust?
No not that I can remember Ash.Go ahead with the old jokes here. It's actually the Genuine Motor Co. stuff flaking. Bolt covers on the rockers axle dust caps things like that from Harley that's ****. Their diamondback stainless cables didn't last 2 years before the clear sheathing started to peel.I did all the chrome hardware on the Sportster from Ace and it's fine.
Just kidding on the bike pedals. I understand some guys never grow up completely. I'm one of them.

I put some of the Ace chrome on mine and I have been getting some surface rust on them. I used a Q-tip to wipe some wd-40 on them but I was wondering if there was something better to do to prevent it. I was in Ace the other day and the guy was showing me their new black chrome collection. It looks pretty good. Really more of a gray than black. Looks like the old smoke chrome that you could order your BMX frame in back in the day.
