I thought santa forgot me we'll here she is I'll be in the garage for the next few hours. Go to the softail standard thread and look on pg101 rkduq20 he took a fender and modified his stock struts that looks good. Oh ya I got a little shift **** happy waiting for it to show up.
Had a few minutes while the paint was drying on my forward control bracket(slight modification) I gotta say this is some high quality fabricatio from these guys.
OregonKickStart - sounds good to me. You do have a keeper wife too! I show my wife pics of stuff and she just asks me if I've ordered it or when I plan to. She does say when she thinks something won't look good on the bike tho. Good lady!
Now I know we all love those aftermarket rear fenders on our trains, and we all know how expensive they are. Here is a question and hopefully not a stupid one but has anyone ever cosidered just modifying (cutting) the stock bobtail fender? If not why. My train is on the lift, I will post some pictures soon. Great looking bikes!
Back when we had to build our parts and not just buy them from a catalog or shop (don't get me wrong, I am a J&P Cycles JUNKIE!!), what one would do is slice the fender down the middle and weld in a strip to widen it... Kinda outdated, but if you weld and want to really put some of yourself in your bike that is how I would do it.
