Night Train Pictures
ok guys, im gonna just get a new rear tire cuz when riding season comes i dont want to replace it and have down time.....im looking for a tire that will last and be as sticky as the metz in the rain and dry....i got the 2011 dennis kirk book and the (forgive me) the dunlop roadsmart looks good...anyone heard anything about it?...my bud is running a perelli night dragon and it nice too but im stuck on anything other then the metz it rocks jus dont last
heres the sprcs
•Improved mileage, great wet pavement performance and handling
•Super dry grip when accelerating with micro-sized carbon particles
•Maximum tire contact when cornering
•Cosecant-curve tread design wears evenly
•Water exits through deep, long lateral grooves in both straight-line riding and cornering
•Blackwall
•Sidewall ID Information: DUNLOP Sportmax Roadsmart 200/50ZR-17 M/C (75W

I don't know anything about that Roadsmart, but it just sounds like a lot of marketing talk. And are you sure you wan't to go with a smaller 200/50 tire (or is that what you're already running)? The gearing advantage would be nice, but it's gonna open up your fender gap and wear faster cuz it revolves more times per mile that the 200/55 (he 200/50 is over 3/4" shorter OD).
I like my Avon Cobra (stock size). It's stickier than stock and wears about the same if you air it up to 40lbs.

hey lucky, im running a 210 50 17 now and dont mind the 50 part, it rocks with the gearing, the gaps fine i have air ride.....the metz dont last at all and dont mind going to a 200...just tring to find somthing longer lasting...there is a sportmax q2 withstronger center tread but that proly means slippage in da rain...im at about 4500 miles on the 210 but the centers about shot middles flat and thin..the sides are fine...and wow the prices on tires at kirk in the 2011 book sre cheap everything is below 200 bucks
havana, the metz is awsome but with it being a 200 it wears in the center, i mean the center has a flat spot and the sides are fine it looks like ive never turned a corner...lol................cam i ran avons before(on my streetbob) and didnt like them,is there a diffrance between the cobra and venoms?... i think just about anything is better then the factory dunlops..lol...ah hell i will just proly go with the 210 metz again anyway love that tire
