The Shadetree ones are closer to the tire as it s attached to the swingarm like the Rocker and it moves up and down with the tire and swingarm.
The RSD is mounted with struts so you need the clearance so the tire does not hit the guard when it moves.

Thanks. Just wanted to keep it looking like Harley envisioned. Plus, I like looking at the pin stripping on the back of the head light..

Post My BAD SPRINGER side...

Lost the Cow Bell in favor of the Springer Horn - representing the heritage as it were - mounted in an untraditional springer horn location. I love it, looks like I bolted a hub cap to the side of my bike, it'll stand out more when I black out the shifter 'stuff'. Also thru on some smoked turn signals and took a close up of the derby cover art done by Etching By PIG. Its a customized design (lifted and tweaked of the world wide web) I sent him to put on my cover. The font is some Halloween font I downloaded and it turned out real cool I wish it were bigger...

Thumbs up

Here are some mods I made this week-end. Now the rear fender is ready for some Jean-Do pinstripings (www.aero-jean-do.com)

Looks good. Those folks do some great pinstripes. Post pictures after they do your bike

Which oil cooler did you go with? Has it helped enough to tell?

Found this with a heartland kit and 21 on the front. Loose the apes and it would look better.

Wow that's tight on that front fender! Looks to be the stocker. Any calculations I've done with a 21 on the front don't work out w/o some kinda mod to the fender bracket. This pic off their website?
