My wife just traded her sporty (finally) for a minty 08 boner and I'm pushing for some fishtails. Those friggin bags are knockouts! Where the heck you find those. Can't say I've ever seen any like 'em at all before. Do tell please
Hmmm... Those are some nice bags. AND Handlebars! I wonder where he got them?

(He got them from me...)

Know where I can snag a set? Or who makes them?

Default Carlini risers on Springer front end

Peggers,
Did you have any thread issues mounting the Carlini Boob risers to your Springer front end? Thanks.

Pretty expensive , but worth every penny and then some.
Now I have been riding her around for a couple of weeks, I took a couple of pics in the sunshine to post up here.
Thanks to all of you guys who have inspired and advised on this build - I am sure that you will identify the style cues that I have stolen from you all. As it is often said, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.....

Installed a US air cleaner (all the ones here come with the football shape ones)

Springer classic front fender with light from eBay - you can also see the Klicktronic gear change if you look real close

Garmin Zumo 660 from my CVO - Hell, I get lost just going down to the corner drugstore!! :-)
You might just be able to make out the Ward Parts Werks fans in this one

Strokerz did exactly what I asked for with the paint, and then some!

Nostalgic engine guard - and tucked under, an Oil Bud oil cooler. A great help here in the desert.

That pretty exhaust is starting to blue - I may just have to ceramic coat it black if it goes too far

They are made by a company called Iron Bags. They are the Iron Thunder series bags with the lid cargo strap and body concho options. The conchos normally have a leather fringe hanging from them and I decided I didn't like the look so I removed it and added D-rings which are functional if you need a place to tie off cargo. I loved the bags, especially because of how roomy they are and how solid they are built. However, I moved away from the look of my Crossbones and figured that it would be a while before I ever went back to using these. I decided to let them go and use the money to help update my bike.

The tailpipe/silencer was an eBay item ('42 fishtail replica) so was the stainless heat shield. The two into one header was cobbled together by by fabricator from two separate discarded exhausts he had from customers installing Vance & Hines. I think that you can buy the same thing from Paughco.
My headers have blued a bit more, but seeing as I can't find anyone here that does decent powder coating, I am just gonna leave them. I might make myself a small shield for the place where the two pipes join, as I have burned through a couple pairs of jeans.
That join is right next to your ankle when stopped at the lights!

I like the look of the 21" front tire. Ran my panhead like that for years but it was no fun when it rained.
