I have spent countless hours on this thread looking at all of the fantastic looking Deluxe's. I think it is one of the best platforms to build on. I'm putting apes on mine and should be done here in the next few days. I know how I want it to look. Now I just need patience......and money.

Such a good looking bike... even though I am a 21" advocate... I really liked your bike with the 16" front. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Still one of the best on the site for sure.

I made my own extensions and added 6 inches to the wires. I HIGHLY recommend the extension kit. Life is soo much easier with it. More is better than not enough!!! To get the wires through the bars I fed kite string into the wire exit hole (behind risers) then I used a vacuum cleaner to suck the string out the dimples near the hand controls. I tied off one of the wires in the bundle then taped all of them together to keep the bundle conical for ease of installation. Are you familiar with de-pinning the wire connectors under the tank?

Hope that helps a little.

I do love em though!!

like the set setup..what is it?

Hey guys. Wanted to introduce myself. I've been hanging out in the Night Train thread. Just bought a 2012 Vivid Black Deluxe. Don't get to see it until September though as I'm stuck over in Afghanland. Picked up a few parts though... Carlini gangster apes, 33" Samsons, Softbrake kit, and Shotgun Shock to start with.

You guys are supposed to stay over there in NT land. No cross posting! LOL they do t spend as much money on the average as the Train guys over here, but there are a few bikes that are bad *** (NC Deluxe for one).

HAHA funny coming from you. LOL. I've noticed a lot of beautiful bikes over here. And I can' believe it with the money. Had buyers remorse yesterday after I bought all those parts, and still have a lot to go. I think next will be taking the front end apart for powdercoat and a set of wheels and tires. But that might be a winter project for me.
