Finally got my apes put on and wanted to post some new pictures. The yellow Fat Boy down there is my Dad's bike.

 

Caletcb-Is your bike the one with the lace work in the red? If so how did the painter do it?

 

i went to hobby lobby and bought some lace. of course i picked out the pattern i liked the most. the colors are ppg and we had to go with 2 colors that would work together. the base color is pure gold the red color is sunglow red which is a candy. he based the whole thing with the gold first. then laid the lace down and shot over it with a dark gray with the gold taped off. that gives the lace a more 3d look which gives it more definition. then removed the lace and shot about 4 coats of the candy over the gray and gold lace pattern. then cleared it. you have to use a candy color that will go good with your base color. my other option was a green and silver, im sure there are more but ppg didnt have many. everyone said to use house of kolors they have more options but their product in my opinion is not as good as ppg.
