The holes are already there. They are just covered by plastic plugs from the factory. My seat pan is actually an older Lepera (probably for an evo) and it still fits the bolt holes well enough to mount with a little finesse.

Default Seat

The holes are not there on my 2009.

I remember reading a thread about this somewhere else.

Well, off and on last Friday night and Saturday Morning I would say total work time 2 hours for the Fiberglass. Sunday I finished trimming it, and a GOOD FRIEND of mine has a bodyshop and he wasn't very busy today so he finished puddy and priming it. I am using it as a cover for a solo. but it is probably Strong enough to use as a Leather seat base. The thing turned out way stronger than I thought it would.

I love the looks of your seat that thing is really cool. it fits the deluxe really well.

Ridehddeluxe,
Thanks for the info and the compliment. Fiberglass is definately strong enough for stretching leather to. One option you might consider for mounting that pan under there is using adhesive backed industrial grade velcro. That's what I used on the back of the little seat that is in my sig pic. It's just a tiny patch, maybe (3/4)" x 2". Just a few little patches would probably be plenty to hold it down, and it is really convenient if you need to get into the battery box or ignition.

I actually formed it to use the seat bolts on the frame but my buddy said that, because the fit is so snug. the thing just snaps on with out the bolts. that I might hold off on the drilling of the bolt holes in till later or use like you said velcro. See what happens.

Wish I had updated photos, I really looks alot better now it is sanded and primed.
