RE: SlotBike
He told me that he devised a way for the fuel to run in something called a backbone.
NOT!!!!!!
Stop making fun of him. The tank is covered in the garage. He wants to wait til everything else is painted and then he will start re-installing everything. (If he can remember where everything is and how it goes back together)
And he better not be selling my parts to fund his streetglide! Otherwise I'll be riding his bike and he can push mine. Now go and make his logo!

RE: Deluxe Pictures,,,1-/4 bars with stock risers
ORIGINAL: harry1584
Hi Guys, In the process of changing over to 1-1/4 Cyclesmith bars with wires inside on to the stock Deluxe risers, can any one help or know of any chrome cover or braided pipe that will discreetly hide the wiring loom between the risers and top chrome head plate, around 5" to 6" of loom to hide.
Thanks Harry in rainy England

Harry,
I love your bike. Which seat rail is on your bike. That's the exact one I'm looking for. Do you know the model number?
Thanks,

That front wheel looks wild.......did you stay with a 16' on the rear ???
ORIGINAL: OS_DELUXE
The front wheel is a 40 spoke 21" x 2 1/4". I bought it from a local shop, I believe he had ordered it from Custom Chrome catalog.
With the narrower tire the steering is easier.
I don't remember what lowering kit was used, it was an after market kit with the option of lowering 1" - 2". I went with 2". If I were to do it again I would select 1". I'd rather have a little more travel in the front suspension.

What size and brand is your front wheel? My husband is trying to talk me into a big front wheel like that. (I think more for him when he rides my bike.) Did it change the way the bike rides? Also what lowering kit did you use? (Yes he wants to lower it too. Says I will be able to be more comfortable if it is lowered.)

I highly recommend the seat retaining nuts from FLSTNI - I got a set from him a few weeks ago and get lots of compliments about them. Pics below.

bobros,
What an amazing paint job. Your bike doesn't look like a Deluxe at all. Love it. Which fender light is that and where can I get one? Was it a hard install?
Thanks,
bj
