RE: Deluxe Pictures
T Rat,
Here are some pics from Tuesday. I went with the 1.5" risers, and a plain chrome clamp (I didn't realize that the OEM one wouldn't work). Thanks for the tips on the deutch connecters, the wiring extensions went on easily once I found the connecters under the tank. They really are way up in there (sts). The second pic shows how low the bars are as well as the layback license plate that I fashioned by bending the stock one in a vice. The inspection plate now sits flush underneath the luggage rack, and I really appreciate not having the billboard effect any more.
Thanks again for all the help T Rat, I really hope to be able to pay it forward here. It's been great reading this thread cover to cover (multiple times) and gleaning all sorts of useful info from the contributors.
Cheers,

RE: Deluxe Pictures
Ha! I only have about 100 miles on the new setup, but interestingly enough I really enjoy it.
The suspension is great; it's a stiffer ride, and thus responds better. It's strange that I can feel the road more, but larger bumps are less jarring. I wish I would have tightened the suspension sooner, and could compare the ride based on lowering alone. I have yet to ride two-up though, and if there are problems, I'm assuming that's where they'll happen.
The handlebar position is more comfortable too, and the slow speed handling is better just as you promised.
Honestly, with all the changes, it's like riding a whole new bike. Luckily, it's a bike I like better.
(edit) After looking at your handlebars closer, I'm going to lower mine further. (right now)
