DeluxeNJ,
My wife said "Go for it" to both the GS and now, the Deluxe. Wow. I am still scratching my head. She is amazing.
We rationalized: The payments on the HD will be just about the same as the child care/day care payments that will end this summer as my youngest heads off to school in the Autumn. So cash flows will stay about the same. Nice.
Ride Safe,
Bones

We finally had a snap of cold weather (at the same time I had some free time), so I know have my SE II slip-on mufflers on the FLSTNI.
The sound is TREMENDOUSLY better than the stock (although I've put up with it for over six months---my two deuce-riding buddies were amazed that I made it this long ). Now, instead of bitta-bitta-bitta when I start her up its BUDDA-budda-budda-budda [sm=happybounce.gif].
The only problem is that it's been almost a steady drizzle since the weekend and I don't know what she sounds like on the open road yet.....[sm=violin.gif]

Man of steel,
Well, actually, we are keeping the kid. BUT the child care payments go away when she goes to school, so that makes for $$ to go to the bike.
Nice pics. I will be getting the SE 16 guage performacne pipes which I have heard on a fatboy and they sound great.
Snow still on the ground here, too. ahhhhhh!

Sorry for the rant, nothing personal to you but one of my biggest pet peeves on this forum is why people won't fill in their location and make it VERY easy for all of us to feel your pain. I live in Minneapolis, would love to know where other people still have snow, it would make me feel a little better.

fiugzel,
My bad, you are right, I changed the picture to the correct line, maybe that is why everybody has had problems, not sure why we have to have to "from" fields in the Bio.
Forum error, forum error!

RetroHarley, I think you gotta put the City, ST in the from field above that to get it on the posts. I had my info in the location field but nothing on my posts.

RE: Deluxe Pictures
Hello Group,
I am the owner of a 2005 Black FLSTNI. I have recently designed and machined a better alternative to the lousy stock HD seat retainer nuts
used to hold the seat to teh grab rain and fender. I like the stripped down, bobber look so I always have the passenger pillion removed.
However, teh lousy stock cast crappy seat nuts made me sick to look at, so I came up with an alternative. See attached pics. THe "ace of spades"
retainers are machined from 316 Stainless steel and then polished with rouge to a fine luster. My buddies with Deluxe's love them, so I invite any of
you to contact me if you'd like to inquire more about them. I have another production run scheduled for next week. Hope you like them.
