Question for LUXE
I was going through the photo forum showing some mods to my buddy and he saw your bike and flipped. Wants to know if those are the Roadhouse exhausts and how they sound and perform. He just picked up a Heritage and wants to get into the old look.
thanks

RE: Deluxe Pictures
Hey gk2410,
It is a road house pipe! I love the sound, performance & look. There are a few down sides to it though. It's a real bugger to install. It is a fair bit of work to keep clean. I wapped the head pipes with header tape to eliminate the heat spots I was getting on the flex pipes. This was very difficult to do & still get the flex pipes on in place. I have replated the main muffler body twice now. It tends to yellow at the forward end as there is a lage open cavity before the baffle. The biggest problem though is keeping people from burning them selves on the flex pipes. Every time I go anywhere people want to get up close & look at the bike. About every 10th time people gather to gaze, someone will reach out & touch the flex pipes. It kind of works like an alarm, they start yelping & wailing. ha ha ha. My sister-in-law blistered her hand when she grabed the flex pipe right after we stopped at a market when we were out for a ride. I have the performance baffle in the can now. The sound is great. Very bassy, a low thumping beat, with a bark when you crack it open.

In reply to stratplexi,
Thanks for the compliments, The pics that you see are actually old, I have replaced those Fender Trim peices as well as a bunch of other stuff. I blew the money for the HD script axle covers and added lots of small detail work. I hope to take some more pics soon and post bthem.
thanks again for your support
