Default RE: From Big Shot Longs to a D&D Fatcat

Thanks for the inf. Marsh. I did look it up in the 2008 HD accessories catalog and they do describe it as a 14.0" width. It is 51763-07. My wife's bottom is a little wider than mine... (we won't tell her that)... anyway I like it. I was wondering about the factory seat when we purchased the bike. I'm really glad I came across your tread. Think I might get it for her for Christmas. She'll be really surprised thanks to you!

Our bike's still in the shop. Waiting for an essentials kit which includes her footrests and engine guard. I want to take the passanger feet pegsand mount them on the guard, so I'll be more comfortable on longer rides. Hopefully it will be ready next week. Bad part about all of that, they're talking 30's here in Nebraska for then. Oh, well it will warm up someday.

You really have a cool bike. I'll post ours when we get a chance to take some pics. It's purple haze in color and I think it's the prettiest color I've ever seen. Hopefully we won't get tired of it.

Moggsy, when I bought my bike I told the dealer to remove the crashbar and throw it in the trash. I have never liked the bloody things and doubt I would be comfortable even with a neat one like yours.
But thanks for the thought, and I think I'll pass.

Hey jad! That looks alot like my new one 2008. I'm getting tired of it sitting in the shop getting my accessories attached. Your paint scheme looks custom. Mine is the purple hase. Haven't customized it that far yet. Anyway, that girlsure looks PRETTY! I'll bet your proud a that one! Can't wait to post my pics.

I did put the engine guard on mine. Need a place for my feet on long trips. Besides it might fall over when I'm not paying attention.

I bought it used, so I don't know. I saved $4,000 over the cost of a new one and am putting that money back into it. Motor mods coming up this winter.
