Here's a few pics of my 2001heritage that i got last October. The first one is the day i traded my 06 street bob for it, second is shortly after i cleaned it up and threw a new set of pipes on (hooker's). Shortly after that istripped the bags, windshield, and backrest, installed a set of whitewalls, chrome sproket, polished rotors. Finally, the last pic is what it looks like as of now, you'll get to see the final project in a month or so!

Ok guys I need some assitance. I am 5'11 and 215lbs I have a fairly long reach and fairly long legs. Ok now that you picture that. I went on a 300 mile small roadtrip to Myrtle Beach with my dad and let me tellyou by the time I got back I had the most painfull knot in my neck right between the top of my shoulder blades.

Long story short I need a new set of bars. What do I get??? I am clueless. I have a 95 FLSTC with stock bars. I want comfortability and able to ride 5000 miles with no pain in my neck. I dont want those huge apes because my arms will drain of blood and they will go to sleep. So other than that let me have your thoughts or guide me in the direction of a another thead that can help me.

Thanks guys

Splinter

Splinter. I don't think there is any one answer to your problem, but if I were you, I would post it on the Softail or General discussion section. You will get more diverse answers.

Splinter. i feel for ya. going through the same myself - trying to find bars that suit and stop the neck/shoulder pain. The best advice ( I think ) that i have got is that i should be thinking a comfortable postion as if i was at my work desk and using a mouse. over reaching/slumping cancreatea problem particularly on long rides. The stock flstc bars are mini apes , I'm now looking at 13/14 inch apes which are not outrageous. Other than that , recommend more stops on the long rides.

good luck and let us know how you go. I should add that I am still picking myself up from the floor after being told by the dealer how much it was going to cost me for them to supply and fit new bars and braided lines! WAY TOO MUCH .... now thinkingabout doing the job myself. cheers
