Here is a dumb question for Heritage owners !!!!

I recently got docking hardware for my saddlebags which moves the saddlebags out a bit and enabled me to put bullet indicators. Now do i need to get detachable sideplates for the sissy bar ??? Doesnt look like they will fit with the normal non-detachable sideplate.

Cheers

Moggsy, my Harley dealer set me up with a detachable sissy bar along with detachable saddle bag docking hardware. They used BareBack hardware I believe.

yes , you will need the sideplates. BTW did you et the quick release system for the saddlebags . If so 2 questions - once off does this docking bolts stick out ( "ugly like " ) and where did you get it.

Thanks for that.Looks like i better get some detachable sideplates.Very rarely use the sissy bar but it would be good to have if needed.
Grzly,no i dont have the quick release system.Have heard Bubbas do a decent quick release system but have not gone down this road yet. When the bags are off i just put the fender bolts back on so they dont stick out.Only use the docking hardware, which is the H-D ones so i could run the bullet indicators on the rear.

same here - taken bags off for the time being . the missus called them the "lost property bins" - every time i went out riding with mates I always came back with some of their crap as I was the only one with bags. the upside is that I have some really neat t-shirts from poker runs, belts , and other stuff which remains unclaimed.

Most of the time i have no bags on but as usual when you need them you dont have them on.Got a ride planned up north doing Thunderbolts Way and the Oxley for a few days so the bags, screen and rider backrestare going on.Just hope bloody rain goes away for a while but i suppose we do need it.
