pricemap,
thanks for the filter info, you sold me, i've ordered a K+N to replace the se filter.

Hey golfblues sweet lookin softail, i'm really likin' the black and blue. Would you have a pic of your bike with the windshield on it? I've been debating on a windshield for my bike for long trips for a while. I kinda like the quick release detachable harley one but the switchblade looks like it might suit the standard with drag bars on it too. Did you consider the HD windshield when you bought the switchblade?

cheers guys,

The switchblade 2 up really helps on long rides & in cold weather but takes away from the look of the bike. Actually, it looks pretty crappy but when I need comfort it goes on. I also just got a switchblade deflector shield which is very small with adjustable rake. It looks good but I haven't tried it yet. I had the quick release HD windshield but the buffeting was too much & I couldn't use it with the deflectors as the brackets got in the way.

Heres an old picture with the shield & bagsbefore the winter transformation. The shield also has the laminar lip on top.You wont recognize the bike.

hdpearson- That paint job looks good in the light ( no offense to your garage pic).

mojo- The ride is good so far. As far adjusting on the fly, you can do it. It's not really noticible, but when you stop and put your feet down, then you can really tell. How are you liking the progressive 422s so far?

I went back and lowered it to just about max today. I still need to adjust the preload as it's on the lightest setting but the ride is pretty hard. Only the biggest bumps actually jar you but not as smooth as before. It's not bottoming, but seems "bouncy". I'm thinking that once I dial in some preload it will be much better.
