Ok i think i figured out this picture postin deal. Heres a couple a shots of my 2006 softail standard. Still a work in progress of course. Man theres some sweet standards on here ! Does anyone know if there is a paint that can be used to repaint a dull outer primary cover ? Likely going with chrome eventually but low on dough right now and would like to remove mine and repaint it silver for now.
cheers

Hey Voodoo- That's a good looking standard. Welcome to the forum! As far as paint for your outter primary goes, I'm not sure. You could possibly check with an auto parts store, like AutoZone for some kind of engine paint that would stand up to heat. Just keep saving those pennies for a chrome engine kit (check ebay- I bought mine for $600 new, instead of $765.00).

Mojo- I got the 1.5"Original T-Barswith 7" rise and 7" pull back. Still sitting in the back seat of my truck. I'm waiting for my air ride to come in, so I can get to the shop and pick it up, and a longer front brake line (too lazy to make more than 1 trip). Got confirmation from Zanotti HD that my billet brake and shifter lever were sent yesterday, so they should be here by Friday.

Welcome to the forum Voodoo! Myself, beau, and Icut1 tend to do a lot of ourposting here in the picture thread and we'd be glad to have you chime in. I've got a spare stock primary cover for an '07, don't know if it would work or not, it wouldn't have the small inspection plate as the '07's have the primary self adjuster. If it would work I'd let it go cheap.
Nice bike!

Mojo.......Just mocked-up the new bars. Man, I have NO clearance between the bars and my tank console, when the front end is turned all the way to the right or left. Literally, I'm not kidding- I've got like 1/8 of an inch- MAX. I'm going to have to start looking for a lower profile tank console.

Not the optimal solution, but you have plenty of bolt thread there......use a couple of xtra chromewashers on top of the bushings. It may get you afew mm's of clearance, and would be hardly noticeable. The other console is really nice and lower, but pretty costly. As long as it doesn't hit the console you're good..........
