Tell me about it. One year too early. I can't see spending $3000 to get it either. This will have to do for a few years.
There's a guy around here who has an 05 NT and I was talking to him about it. He's like you, annoyed they waited a year but he's not about to change it now. Especially as he's spent a bunch of money to get a custom "real fire" paint job and would have to get that done all over again, at least to the rear fender.
Its a shame too because it really looks nice, but I think it would look better on a wider fender.

I know they are fat burly bars. I am not sure on the rise on them. They came tapped for internal wiring, however, I haven;t ran them in there yet. Maybe this winter when I do the rest of the upgrades to it. I also made a 2" tank rise to fit. I raised the front of it up to match the rise on the bars.

Got any side shots? I'd like to see how it looks with the front of the tank raised - interested in that! How'd you lower it in the rear? Looks like it is sitting pretty low - any issues with bottoming out? I ran the same style of bars on my 05' - They were Wild1's Chubby's (501's). Same mirrors too. Bought the same stuff all over again for the new scoot, just waiting til' winter hits. It's a great looking bike, you're on the right path with her!

I have a few shots of the tank i will post later today for you. I made the tank rise kit with a couple of metal stips and a few chrome bolts. Lowered it in the rear with a $30 kit I bought online and it rides great. Bottoms out once in a while when going too fast around tight corners. But it is worth it to me to get the look and ride low. I have to take it apart in the next few days. I have all the chrome for the right side of the motor going on. I am going to paint my engine black and have the tank and fender painted to get rid of the gay logo.

Heres the pic of the homemade Tank Riser. I just cut a couple of Metal strips, Painted them black and bought a few chrome bolts for hardware. Saved about $70 and it only took a couple of hours.

Here's pic of my '07 FXST.
Sorry it's at night, but just logged on and found this sight. Thought I'd post a pic of her. Not much as far as mods, added the bitch bar without moving the rear signals. Removed the reflectors, and that's about it.

Having a hard time finding decent pipes with a good sound. The '07's have dual O2 sensors, and little to no pipe mods. Anyone with some info on good pipes would be greatly apreciated.

HD made the sled soooo quiet and smooth!!!, it's hard to hear the revs at 40MPH. NEED better pipes!

Love the 200mm rear and six speed!!

Ride safe all!

-Ron

Nice looking bike, even in the dark. I noticed that you have the little bell hanging under the engine. Mine's hanging from the bottom tripple tree from the brake line bolt.

V&H is making new pipes that a lot of people seem to like. Me I like the orginal "look" of the tapers and am waiting for Khrome Werks to put out their "Taper" slip on's. Then I'll go for the SE or S&S air filter setup with a PCIII to "fix" the FI system afterwards.

Gotcha on the hardware, looks easy enough. Quite a lot of money for the "kits", so good idea. Looking for a good full length side shot, with the bike standing straight and upright. No hurry though, you've been kind enough already. Might do a quick search while I'm thinking of it. I had thoughts of doing something along those lines myself, just can't visualize how it might look. Was worried it might look out of place without some stretched out forks and more rake.

Got a set of V&H Big Radius about a month ago for mine. I think Eastern Performance and Direct Parts have them in stock right now. There was some other V&H soon to be released at about the same time - Check their website for more information on what's out already and what's coming. If you're going to run a power commander, you can use any pipes that fit the 06's and earlier if you also use PC's 02 eliminators. Contact Fuel Moto for a map and they'll take care of you. If wanting to use the SERT, or some other tuner, you'll have to run slip-on's or wait on some more pipes to come out (other than what is available through V&H right now w/ the 02 bungs). Good luck, that's a nice color you've got. Chrome goes good with it.

This is the closest pic I could find. I just took the bike apart for the rest of the work I am going to do this winter. Hope it helps!
