Here's my standard not too long after I got it. Bought it brand new. Immediately threw a set of mini apes on it as well as some other goodies here and there.
My Hooker Troublemakers I got just as soon as they were closing out their stock. Got em for $170! ! ! ! They were for a carb'd motor, so I had to cut and weld in new O2 bungs. Well worth it, and they sound SICK
Just got my Progressive Lowering kit in yesterday and tackled it at the shop last night. After rolling around the best way to get it in the air to get underneath it comfortably and work we came up with this. Worked like a champ. I'm 6'3", so it was bad *** to be able to get it up in the air high enough to walk under it. 2 4X4's, a forklift and some ratchet straps.
I'm going to take some pics of it at its new height tonight and show yall a good before and after. Looking back, this kit was really easy to install. I spent most of my time trying to come up with a way to compress the shock. After many attempts at different techniques I got a spring compression kit from the auto parts store. Squeezed it from both sides, the bottom hooking around the bottom of the cylinder, and the top hooking to a plate we made out of 1/2" AL that slid over the spindle far enough to make contact. I have my pre-load set to what the instructions called "lightest". I need to adjust it out to make the right a little stiffer. It feels like stock now, just want to tighten it up a bit to prevent some bottoming out.
