Default Photographs of front lowered softail standards

The bike I'm getting, 2004 fxst, is lowered with the HD lowering shocks in the rear. I'm considering lowering the front also. Does anyone have any photographs of before /after, or just after of bikes lowered with the HD kit, or somthing that lowers a similar amount - about 1" front and rear. Thanks.

Spend the extra $20 and get the front lowering kit from Progressive, rather than HD. My sig pic was taken before I lowered the front by 1.25". I don't have any pics of the "after" yet.

RK, love the rear end...where did you get the struts from or those struts with the covers off?

Beaureed445, what's the difference between the HD and Progressive? Does one lower the other more?

thats the stock struts with covers off. came out rear nice. im happy with the way it came out. cant wait to get the billet front lowers on and my new grips and pegs and the black billet brake lever here in the new year sometime before riding season comes around again. also i have another console and am painting it black to match the bike gonna see what it looks like on there. i think it will look better for some reason but we will see.

The progressives will allow you to lower up to 2". The HD brand will only go 1". HD brand is $99.95, Progressive is like $119.95, but they're a much better brand. Quality of their products are great. This is why many softail riders have changed out their stock rear shocks for Progressive 422s.

after a couple of more pieces of chrome, I will be lowering it. I was thinking 1- 1 1/2 in the rear & 1 inch in the front...any advice?

That's about what I did to mine. Used the HD lowering kit fot the front and a Ness stud extention for the rear. NOW, if you were to upgrade your trees to some that were 3* in rake and 1" to 1.5" thick, that would also lower your ride about 1" or so.
