What kind of seat is that HarleyG? It looks real comfy...
I found that off ebay. It's a corbin. This one comes with a backrest post, also. The seat is very comfy. It gives me a little more boost to the handle bars. I'm only 5'2...hehe
Thanks Tom, I really appreciate the info on the Samsons. I'll probably go with them. I have a 2000 Fatboy with the SE II's, and although they work well, I'm not crazy bout the look.
Where in Italy do you live, Dr. Phong? I was stationed in Sigonella Sicily for 4 years (2000-2004) while in the US Navy.
I live in Vicenza, in Northern Italy about 30 miles from Venice. I'm a civilian working for the Army. I hope you got some riding in while you were here, this is some of best riding I have ever seen. We have a great group of guys, 6 Americans and 6 Italians. There are more bikes on the road here than anywhere I have been. Aggressive mothers, scare the crap out of me sometimes. The Italians have a particular style that you see quite a bit, they use only one big saddle bag on the left side of the bike. I guess it's a carry over from the WWII messengers. I might give it a try.
Bubbalel,
Can you enlarge your pictures to about twice the size they are now? It is hard to check out your 2007 Fat Boy with those small pictures. What model windshield do you have? Does it give you a lot of buffeting to your head/helmet? I have been thinking about getting a detachable windshield for longer highway trips.
Some people think adding a windshield to the Fat Boy helps quite a bit for high speed touring while others say they get buffeted so bad from below and above the w/s that they are useless.
