That backrest looks like a Firehouse, I just put mine on Friday. How do you like it?

 

i absolutely love it, i ran some big heavy half inch rubber spacers between the backrest & fender, for support with just the solo seat, ( as you wouldn't need any additional support if the backrest was mounted with the pillon )

ran down to Santa Cruz & back yesterday, & with both the new Heritage seat combined with the Firehouse rest, along with the forward extended boards & highway pegs, & the bars from a new fatboy lo,, this thing's starting to fit like a glove,,, i've got a set of hardbags due in any day now, & that's the next thing on the list

First, you are right, the backrest needs a little stiffening. I'll try some rubber spacers, thanks. I am riding to Michigan leaving Tuesday AM and it's like 1,000 miles each way with some riding while we are there. I also did about 150 yesterday to check things out with the apes and new backrest. I'm ready to roll.
