I believe they will fit your bike as the replacement chrome fork slider covers (p/n 45963-97) in the HD catalog will fit '86 -later FLST. Might want to check with an HD dealer though, as these are the stock polished aluminum ones from a 2010.

I'm not sure on how to install them, but I know you will have to remove the lower fork sliders to get them on.
