Update on the wheel. My dealer went to mount the new rim & the bearing kit didn't fit. Apparently the wheel is from an 08 not an 06 & they are not interchangeable. so the bike is at the dealer in limbo. They are waiting for a call tomorrow 6/2 from the Moco to see if there is a solution. If not I'm looking at a new wheel & the seller will take back the one he listed incorrectly on ebay. So it looks like another week before my wheel will be ready to sell. Sorry but chit happens

 

OK, for those still awake here, I have a new wheel on the way. The MOCO really screwed with the part numbers & couldn't figure which one fit. I finally got Bill from Lakeshore HD to figure it out & the correct wheel that comes with the bearings is obsolete from HD but in stock at Vintage Parts so it's on the way. If you order from lshd1.com it's 20% off & free shipping on $500 orders. Bill was great on the customer service too. It will be here next week but we're not taking the tire off the old rim until we know it's correct. Stay tuned.

425.00 shipped. Wheel is just about perfect. Brake rotor which has very little wear is included. Bearings are still in the wheel with less the 2500 miles on them, no need to replace as they are like new.

It looks like Quickthrottle won't be able to use the wheel as he has an 07 with a 1" axle instead of a 3/4" & he doesn't need to go through the same BS that I did.

 

know of any reason it wouldnt fit my 06 night train? i have a 200/55R17 78v tire, rim size & contour is T17 x 6.00 MT, bike is lowered 1 inch in back. looked it up and FXST / FXSTB & FXSTS are the same, but the FXSTD is different. yours is off an FXST right? how about $360 shipped? Talk to me bro.

 

The D is a duece which is a different wheel. Mine is an 06 FXST Standard & fits the same as your nightrain. I also had mine lowered 1" too. Don't forget you won't need the bearings ($70.00) as they are the same too & mine have less then 2500 miles on them. I installed them new in the wheel 1/08. I'll meet you at 390.00 shipped including the rotor too. I put it on ebay yesterday & there are 4 watching it already so if you want it act quick so I can cancel the auction.
