Default Thunderheader

I have for sale a Thunderheader 2 into 1 with 2 heat shields. I bought this knowing it was for an older model but part numbers didn't contradict it would fit my 2011 Deluxe. It would bolt up to the heads fine and bolt to the transmission fine but it was in the way of the floor board. I would think it would fit most any softail without floorboards. The guy I bought it from said he took it off his early 2000 Heritage Springer Softail. The header is in above average shape. Some minor surface rust on back side of pipes and between pipes and there is a scrape on the bottom side. Fitted on my bike it looked great! Would also be a nice pipe for someone to ceramic coat or wrap back to the collector that is nearly perfect. $300 picked up in Ohio or I can work with someone on shipping. Call or text 740 815-3129 or pm me.

Who knows, may be. It bolts everywhere fine on the Softail, but the lower pipe is in the way of the floorboard.

Sorry man, I can't find a part number anywhere. I am sure it came off an 03 Softail. But thats all I know. Yes the heat shields are on the pipe.

I'll say it again for the OP and everyone else. It is NOT a softail thunderheader and NOT a softail bracket. It is a DYNA setup. The softail bracket mounts to the frame and then to the thunderheader. Not to the transmission side.

I have a softail and a Dyna. My Dyna has a thunderheader with the same bracket and pipe. My softail has a thunderheader and it's completely different. Here are some reference photos.

See how the pipe sweeps around the timing cover. Only one softail thunderheader does that and it is specifically for floorboard Models (which would mean it would fit the OPs bike). All of the rest of the softail thunderheaders split the pipes like this....

And don't use a bracket like what's for sale. I mean for this to be informative and given the fact that the thunderheader fits a Dyna it actually makes it more valuable for sale as all the Dyna guys prefer that pipe. Take the info for what it is and I hope someone buys this because they are excellent pipes and this one is in great condition.

That being said I hope the buyer is getting what is correct.

Right^ that's the one that I said wraps around. However it doesn't use that bracket. The point was if it was the wrap around it would fit with boards, which it does not according to the OP. Which corresponds to the bracket being from a Dyna

Simply put. The bracket is for a rubber mounted motor, which is why the bracket bolts to the trans and not the frame. On a solid mounted softail motor the bracket is from frame to the pipe. Further more..... here is the pipe and bracket. Notice what bikes it fits

Guys, I really don't know. The guy I bought it from said it cam off his 2003 Heritage that was in his garage. He switched to fish tails. The plate connecting the tow pipes on the back side has 63227 stamped into it.
