Default Breakout solo backrest bracket ($50)

Hi all. I'm selling a backrest bracket I made up for my bike last year. This is the base metal frame and would require the purchasers to have a pad made and do any powder coating. Those are not my expertise and if I had those done the price would be much higher. I'm adding some pics of mine as well as the piece I cutc today.

I can make these in either plain steel for someone who wants to powder coat or stainless if you want something shinier. The design can be modified, but the point was for something low profile rather than a full sized backrest. It's great at keeping you from sliding back on a stock seat. May also work with other models that use a two bolt solo seat; albeit I've never tried it on them.

How thick is the metal?
Trying to gauge how much flex there is when you lean on it...

Also, how far apart are the holes for the pad?

If I could mount the HD short rail backrest pad to it, I'd take it...

Steel is 13 gauge. The way the bracket is shaped, it generally takes a lot of angled force to make it drop. Either sitting straight on it or intentionally forcing it back with your hands. The backrest you mentioned wouldn't work with this because the upper part would need to be about 1/4ish thick with specific shapes cut in. The pad they use is also hard as a rock. The holes on mine are about 3 inches apart. But not at the same spacing to fit this specific pad.
