Default Pricing Take-Off Parts?

After completing the engine build, I'll have the following leftover from a stock 2001 Fatboy w/ 21k miles that I won't be holding onto. I'm not too familiar with the HD used parts market, but I have to imagine it's extensive. Any advice on how to price accordingly for items individually and as a package deal -

Heads
Cylinders
Carb/Intake
Cams
Cam Plate

Thanks.

You may want to browse the stock take off section in the classifieds and search for prior sales of your parts.

They will sell as long as their priced reasonably. Might easier to just sell them all together. Good luck

I usually figure pricing for New in Box (NIB) or Used showing no wear what-so-ever as follows:

(List Price X 0.80) X 0.50 = Selling Price

So something that lists for $100:
. ($100 X 0.80) X 0.50 = Selling Price
. $80 X 0.50 = Selling Price
. $40 = Selling Price

First, any part can be obtained from On-Line Harley-Davidson Dealers for at least 20% Off List with free shipping. Ex: Boardtracker (used to be Kutter), Newcastle, Surdyke, etc.

Second, Buying from a Dealer generally means:
1.) The part will be new (not used),
2.) Since you are a Private Party there is a very real possibility that the "new" Part received doesn't quite match the quality of a brand new part even if that's what the Seller claims it is.
3.) If the buyer has to; there is always the possibility of returning the part to a Dealer. Where with a Private Party that may or may not work out so well.

Third, Extremely Common Parts such as OEM Mufflers are worth next to nothing since lots of people have them and there are very few buyers for them.

Fourth, Extremely Rare and/or desirable Parts such as 2003 100th Anniversary Badges and the like may be worth more than they were ever worth when they were new and available from a Dealer.

To be sure about what you're doing; get or look up the Original Part Number for the part and then go on eBay and search for it by the Part Number and the word "Harley". Look at what folks are asking for them and even more important look at what sold units brought at auction and the time of year that they were sold.

Lastly don't forget about shipping. Shipping can get a bit costly for large and/or irregularly shaped objects. Also shipping to locations outside of the lower 48 States can be much more than you might imagine and often will far exceed the value of any used parts.
