Default Gloss Black with CHROME exhaust or BLACK???

Bought a 2014 Softail Slim last weekend. Already have the fever. I need this bike to finally sound like a Harley. It's time to unleash it's true potential.

My biggest question though is this...

If you have gloss paint...is it better to use CHROME exhaust vs BLACK exhaust ??

My last bike was an Iron 883 and I fell in love with the blacked out engine and exhaust. Was hoping to put black exhaust on this bike but just not sure how I feel about the flat/denim black exhaust on gloss black paint.

So I brought her home !!!

She was calling my name that day!

I pulled my Rinehart True Duals off my Street Glide because everyone seemed to have them. I installed Samson Hell Raisers in ceramic flat black and had thed powder coater coat them gloss black. It looked great but he didn't use a "high heat" gloss black powder for the heat shields so it started to blister. I had him re do them in high heat "satin" black and it's just enough shine to compliment the chrome and black paint. Just one of many options you have.

I have a gloss black night train and wanted a black exhaust. So I bought a set of LA chopper pipes that were chrome. I took them to my local powder coating company and had them put on a high temp gloss black powder and it holds up amazing no flaking or chipping

When I get back to the states in a few weeks I will get a charcoal satin with black exhaust. But if I get a vivid black then definetly get chrome. Buying in southern Georgia, not that many dealers really but will still shop around a bit. Maybe a 2014 Slim deal will still be there.
