So after waiting forever, I'm going to join the 21 inch Deluxe club. I'm thinking of going with fat spokes but looking for the best prices. Any suggestions?

Next question is the tire. Now I know Vee doesn't have that great of a reputation however, their white wall looks pretty wide compared to others. The new Avon and this Full Bore is 3/4 of an inch. What it the white wall size of the Vee? Has Vee gotten any better?

All I can say is you get what you pay for most of the time I have ride wright wheels on my bike 50 spoke fat daddy's back wheel has been on the bike over 6 years no problems front 21 has been on 3 seasons. I have hit some horrible pot holes they were so bad I stopped to see if I came down on my front fender these wheels have been hit pretty bad and no problems with them they are holding up great. I don't know about any of the cheaper ones but I can vouch for these.

 

I have never had any wire wheels myself, but have many friends who do or have and they swear by Ride Wright Wheels. To me they make any bike look timeless; especially a Deluxe!

 

I love the look of the fat spoke wheels. The cost not as much. Post a picture of your bike when done. I have continued to kick around the idea of getting some for my Heritage. Just need more inspiration, and cash.

 

really like the ridewrights as well, BUT if you have lotsa money look up primo Cali wheels! by far the nicest spoke type wheel i have ever seen and they are billet!!
